We have reached a critical time in the year for everyone in this class. It is the last trimester of our high school careers, which makes me both nervous and excited. As we entered class on the first day, we were given a brand new project for this trimester. We will be creating a very unique type of piece to reflect on what we read. Our reflection will be based on http://www.nytimes.com/projects/2012/snow-fall/#/?part=tunnel-creek . The book my group chose to read was The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I had begun to read this book a few years ago but never finished it. I am glad that now I will have the opportunity to finish reading it along with doing a cool project along with it. I am anxious to see how the recreation of Snowfall will go since it seems very intense, but I think it will turn out well with all of the group's help. Lauryn is the writer, Grace is the videographer, Gabby is the wildcard, and I am the graphic designer. So far I am really enjoying the book. It is not a hard read and is very easy to get sucked into. I don't think it will take very long at all to read. I enjoy being able to do the picture notes about the book because it is easier to visualize for me and I like to be able to see what my partners think about certain parts of the book as well.
